The accelerated establishment of a grassroots, united, well-managed and internationally recognized and respected organization where the opposition forces to the Islamic Republic can transparently collaborate to support the freedom movement of the Iranian people with the goal of non-violent eradication of the ruling Islamic Regime in Iran, and to replace it with a democratic, secular and pro-human rights form of governance.
Founding Principles
1- Protection of the national independence and territorial integrity of Iran 2- Separation of religion from the state (Secularism) 3- Loyalty to and support of the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights 4- Implementation of free, fair, and transparent elections, to be held after the downfall of the ruling Islamic regime, to determine Iran’s future system of governance 5- Direct participation of all Iranians throughout Iran in their local social, cultural, political, and economical affairs
Prologue
The motivation behind the establishment of THE NEW IRAN by a group of Iranian political activists residing inside as well as outside of Iran, is the result of the Iranian people’s mass uprising and their freedom seeking Green Movement, against the continued brutalities of the despotic and tyrannical ruling clerical regime in Iran, which has sustained its immoral rule and destructive 31-year occupation of Iran, by way of severe oppression of Iranian people’s national and civic rights.
THE NEW IRAN, having systematically analyzed and scrutinized the reasons behind the repeated unsuccessful attempts of the dissidents of the Islamic Regime in Iran (“IRI”) in forming a powerful and united front during the last thirty-one years, has integrated the lessons learned and best practices from that analysis with the latest technological systems and the Internet, and devised a powerful social-political-technological framework and platform to connect all IRI opposition groups and individuals worldwide.
THE NEW IRAN, without promoting any particular political ideology or ethnic belief, invites all pro-freedom and anti-IRI individuals, political parties and civic groups to leverage THE NEW IRAN as a mechanism and framework to unite together, collaborate with one another, and to assist the ever-expanding freedom movement of the Iranian people; to mend the broken links of the IRI-resistance; and to strengthen the ties amongst all IRI-opposing parties working towards the common goal of ending this dark era of Iran’s history.

The Iranians have been suffering from the brutality of the Islamic regime in Iran for over 32 years. Since this regime has come to power addiction, poverty, prostitution, and crimes against humanity has become the facts of life in Iran. What you are about to see is just a small sample of what has been going on in Iran for over three decades.

TNI letter to Foreign Minister of Canada

The Honorable John Baird Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade
On behalf of all the members and supporters of THE NEW IRAN, I would like to thank you, your staff, Government of Canada, and the Munk School of Global Affairs for the unprecedented and historical “Global Dialogue on the Future of Iran” event held in Toronto.
We believe that Canada’s leadership on calling out the Islamic Republic in Iran (“IRI”) for its continuous violations of Human Rights, support of global terrorism and its undeniable pursuit of developing nuclear weapons is a great first step to attract the support and cooperation of other democratic countries around the globe.
In your speech at this event you asked each one of us attending the conference to send our suggestions to you regarding what to ask Foreign Ministers of other countries as you try to build a strong coalition against the IRI. Below are a few suggestions on behalf of my colleagues in our organization:
1.Intensification and acceleration of targeted sanctions, specifically against businesses and entities related to the Revolutionary Guard and IRI ruling team
2.Highlighting and emphasizing IRI’s systematic Human Rights violations in all future talks with the IRI
3.Taking strong punitive actions against IRI each time it violates international agreements that it had signed
4.“Naming and Shaming” those IRI officials who violate Human Rights and are caught in financial embezzlements
5.Freezing international assets of all high level IRI officials
6.Holding frequent events similar to the recent Global Dialogue on the Future of Iran, hosted and supported by other democratic governments
7.Providing tangible resources to IRI opposition outside Iran for 24/7 live television broadcasts into Iran with education and awareness programs on Human Rights, Civil Disobedience, Economical Promises for Iran after regime change, etc.
8.Demanding the immediate and unconditional release of ALL political, religious, and ideological prisoners
9.Erection of statues and other iconic structures of symbolic Iranian figures such as Neda Agha Soltan in appropriate locations in Canada and other countries
10.Further political and economic isolation of the IRI, by closing their embassies inside Iran, closing IRIs embassies in their countries and freezing IRI assets, and ejecting all IRI’s diplomats from the host countries.
I would also like to take this opportunity to commend the tireless efforts of your team at this conference, specifically, Mr. Ben Rowswell, Mr. Farhaan Ladhani, and Mr. Rasta Daei whom I had the pleasure of meeting in person.
In closing, once again, on behalf of myself, my colleagues in The New Iran organization and I am sure millions of innocent, freedom loving and oppressed Iranian people, I would like to thank you and the Canadian government for your efforts to support bringing about freedom and democracy to Iran.

Zanyar's plea letter
January 8, 2013 10:22:13
To all the people of the world who are in my age group:
I despise thinking about my death; I do not want to take my life aspiration to the grave with me.
My name is Zanyar Moradi.
Currently, I am sitting in a death row cell, my prison cell in Karaj, Iran, and I want to talk to you young people in Europe and America, I want to speak to people, who are my age who are living in Japan, Australia, France, and Africa and all over the globe.
Please DO NOT LET THEM HANG ME!
Is this world so cruel, to watch both my cousin and I hang in public from a crane on the street? And not say anything? And not do anything?
I realize that it is only through the Internet that I am voicing to you my fear and my plea to you. So please be patient with me and give me few minutes and seconds of your time and hear me. It is hard to be twenty-one and to face my death. To live everyday with the nightmare of death, to shiver every time I hear their footsteps coming to take me to my death.
It has been three years since I have been imprisoned. I am Zaneyar Moradi and my co-defendant is Loghman Moradi, we were tortured for nine months. They would beat us so hard that we could not walk, even today I still suffer from side effects of torture—my back is hurting and I have two fractured vertebrate. The torturers told us that if we did not confess to everything they told us that they would rape us and we just signed whatever they put in front of us. And now we are waiting for the hanging rope of death while standing or hanging on the streets of Tehran or Urūmiyeh (where we were born). They tell us now plans are being set for our execution, and the hang man has been sick for the past four days and I can’t sleep at nights. So I decided to help myself by writing this letter.
Whatever you can do, please don’t let them execute us. Please use your youth, your creativity, and let this regime know that we are not alone. Please voice your protest to this verdict. If you protest, if you complain to them we will here it!
I am waiting to hear YOUR voices of protest.
Zenyar Moradi

Hope & Friendship
Iranians have suffered for three decades under Islamic government but they have not lost hope. Iranians are friendly people who have keen desire to be friends with other nations. Even under the extreme oppression, Iranians were the only nation in the region to hold candle vigil for the victims of 9-11 terrorist attack on American soil.
The New Iran is pleased to provide support services for journalists covering the Islamic Republic or the Iranian freedom movement.
As an umbrella organization that cooperates with such a large number of dissidents both within Iran and without, TNI is in a unique position to provide INFORMATION and ACCESS that can be obtained nowhere else.
The dissidents, activists and experts who turn to The New Iran understand the importance of the free media, and we look forward to assisting journalists with all their reporting needs.
